Syndicate Coming to Heliport
.
Sydney Band Syndicate have been recording their latest Album and are dropping into Heliport to do a bit of tracking during May. For those of you who are not in the know here's a bit on the band for further details see their official site www.syndicateofficial.com.
ydney five-headed rock and roll monster Syndicate (formerly the NEXT) have been busy in preparation for their as-yet-untitled new album, due early 2011.
Syndicate have been living the rock and roll fairytale... Five young local rockers pushing along the pub scene, working their craft with fierce professional desire, are plucked from the throng and whisked off to bustling Los Angeles to work with some of the biggest names in music.
The band hasn't scrimped on pulling together the album their fans are waiting for with baited breath. Recorded in Los Angeles with the likes of Jeff Blue (Linkin Park, Matchbox 20, Korn, Limp Bizkit, The Last Goodnight), Brandon Friesen (Nickelback, Comeback Kid, Sum 41, The Music) and Scott Humphrey (Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Andrew WK, The Cult), the producing credentials alone have got press and public roaring with excitement for the finished product.
"We recorded in Tranzformer studio with Bryan Carlstrom (The Offspring, Alice in Chains, Social Distortion). He was super cool, very professional" says Greg Agar, frontman. "Then Matt Sorum (drummer; Velvet Revolver, Guns and Roses, The Cult); we went to his house for two weeks and tracked in his studio. Then we went to Tommy Lee's home studio in Calabasas! We spent three months working on the album in total. Two months in LA and then a month in Sydney at Sony studios. It was a pretty full-on experience. A lot of people don't realize how much work goes into a record like this. We did a minimum of ten hour days with a fair share of seventeen, eighteen hours days as well. It was a strenuous process, but we're really proud of the final product and there's nothing else we'd rather be doing"
